Before the computer and the Internet became common place for the world, like it is today, the ultimate way to make a living was to own your own business.  It was the dream of everyone to have a business of their own, where they could reap the profits and run the business the way they saw fit.  All of that has a changed perspective today.  Not only do people still want to own their own business and have the same dream, it now includes the factor of Work At Home to run your own business.  With the advent of the computer age and the buying and selling that takes place through the new business world online, the dream has changed direction somewhat.
It you can Work At Home, this is the ultimate of the new way to look at making a living and cashing in on the dream of owning your own business.  It is done through the Internet these days.  The idea of making sales calls and providing information about your products and services is all done online today.  Today the world uses the Internet to conduct business.   Sales calls are not face to face anymore but through the world of e-commerce.  It is just as effective and the cost of transactions and doing business have come down by doing business online.
The Internet makes the world of sales and sales presentation just about antique and almost obsolete.  The world has changed very quickly with this new means of operations.  Can you still be successful?  The answer to that question is an overwhelming YES.  Many individuals are making a good living by the Work At Home that they do.  The majority of this work is still under the umbrella of sales work.  Individuals are still making sales of their products and services by supplying information about what they have to offer that is unique and useful.  If you can convince someone that your product or your service is going to make life easier, and leave them happier, you are going to have their business and they are going to make a purchase.  It is essentially the same technique and motivation except you now have a new platform that you are using to speak and to advertise.
The online Work At Home industry is new and growing.  For those who work hard and stay with it the profits will come rolling in on a regular basis.  For those who want to join this industry it is full of opportunities.  You can create your own deal and work at it with your own passion. The ideas are endless and the potential to make a lot of money is there for the taking.  It does take work and creativity to survive.  It does take a lot of discipline to Work At Home and make money with your personal time and management.  It is not a career for everyone.  It demands a special person with passion and an instinct for doing the right thing at the right time. This is the new sales world of today.  It’s taking place right in your own home for the new generation.

Most people who think about working on the internet would love to leave their full time job and just work at home. Sometimes people might make the decision to do this and later regret it. Before you do this, you want to be sure to consider all the ramifications of your decision.
One of the first things you should consider, and one of the most important, is whether or not you are motivated enough and disciplined enough to actually work from home every day for the necessary number of hours to get your work done. Many times people who work at home part time consider their job as something they can keep on doing or not depending on their interest. Sometimes having a boss is really beneficial since they keep you on task and on schedule.
Another thing you will need to consider is what to do about the benefits you will lose if you leave your present position. If you decide to work at home you will no longer have things like health insurance, paid vacations, and retirement plans that you might currently have. You might be able to get health insurance through your spouse, and he or she might have a retirement plan that more money can be put into, but you will still need to consider the possible loss in income and benefits that will come about with this change. It is more than your salary that you will no longer have if you decide to leave your job.
One of the other issues that might come up is that when you work at home you will not necessarily be getting a check for a specific amount of money each pay period like you are used to. This means that you have to figure out how to take care of your expenses when you have an uncertain and unpredictable income. You should see how much it takes to cover your day to day expenses to make sure that you will be able to cover these costs still if you quit your day job.
Finally, you need to make sure that you are really clear about what you will need to do in order to make enough money if you make this change. You are definitely going to have to spend some money in order to promote your business if you work at home, and this could end up amounting to a lot more than you might be thinking of. It would be wise to have a savings account with enough money to cover your expenses for about 18 months so that you have time to get your business up and running and (hopefully) profitable without worrying too much about where the money for basic necessities is going to come from.
Before making any decision on whether or not to quit your full time position, you should be sure to consider all of the factors mentioned above. Not everyone is capable of succeeding in this type of job, so it is best to consider all of the implications while you are still fully employed rather than quitting to start a business immediately that may or may not succeed

As if you there wasn’t enough to deal with when you are beginning to make the transition of housewife to work at home mom, there’s going to also be the unfortunate obstacle of dealing with the stereotype. There will be those who undermine what you are doing, friends that expect you to be available 24/7, and even family members who may not understand the work and energy it takes to run a home business.

The best thing you can do from the start is have a clear cut work schedule and share it with everyone from the get go. Be firm when it comes to your availability and work privacy.  Just as you wouldn’t show up unannounced at someone’s work place and start chatting with them unexpectedly or drag them out of their desk without notice, you should be given the same courtesy and respect. If this is to be a real business, then it has to be treated as such.

If you happen to have a spouse or demanding children that don’t quite understand why you’re not able to do everything as quickly as you used to do before you were a work at home mom, then explain it to them over a coffee. Show them a visual of what has to be done for your work on a daily basis so they can grasp what it is you actually do. They may even be impressed and offer to help out more!

The important thing is to be patient and know that it is a very common obstacle that new work at home moms have to go through. It’s an unfortunate fact that some people simply won’t understand (including family members and friends), but if it’s something you’re passionate about then you must stick with it and stand your ground. Many times, the same people who give you a hard time with the change at first, will come around once they see how serious you are about your home business.
